The city is located on the Costa de la Luz. where the river Guadalquivir meets the Atlantic Ocean. Accross the river you will find the National nature park Doñana. Europes largest protected nature area. Together with Jerez de la Frontera and el Puerto de Santa Maria. Sanlúcar forms the so-called sherry triangle. Sanlúcar is mainly known for the manzanilla. This is a type of sherry wine which perfectly suits seafood which is daily brought into harbour in this fishing town.The inhabitants of Sanlúcar are famous for their hospitality and friendliness.
